Dr. Daniel Cohen
Dr. Daniel Cohen received his bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and his dental degree from the University of Maryland Dental School. Dr. Dan then completed a General Practice Residency at Monmouth Medical Center and a Pediatric Dental Residency at Lutheran Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. He truly enjoys teaching and serves as a mentor to many dental students and new dentists in the field of pediatric dentistry.
Dr. Dan is a friendly, compassionate, Board Certified pediatric dentist who strives to mold children’s behaviors and develop proper attitudes toward dental hygiene. He understands the significance of communication with both parents and children in order to create a comfortable, relaxed environment and a great experience for every child. He takes pride in serving as a “dental coach” to his young patients and parents, and in the process changing their perceptions about dentistry. There is no greater feeling for him than to receive a hug from a smiling patient.
Dr. Dan supports the belief of The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Academy of Pediatrics that children should be evaluated by a Pediatric Dentist by one year of age. This is important for educating parents about the significance of appropriate reduction of bottle feeding, fluoride supplementation, and proper hygiene/diet considerations. This visit also serves to establish a growing relationship between your child, family and Dr. Dan.
He is very active in the community as he volunteers his time every year to Give Kids a Smile, an organization that provides free dental care for underprivileged children. He also makes dental presentations throughout the year to local preschools and daycares. In his spare time, Dr. Dan enjoys working out, cheering on the Yankees and Giants, and spending time with his family. He has had the opportunity to coach athletes for various Special Olympic competitions in the past. He is a New Jersey native, and he currently lives in Bergen County with his wife, Lauren and their daughters Hayley and Brooke.

Dr. Paul Cantelmi
Dr. Paul A. Cantelmi has been providing high quality care to our patients since becoming an associate of Dr. Cohen in 2012. In 2010, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and went on to complete a two-year specialty training residency at Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine. There he served as chief resident, provided dental care to high-risk populations, and developed a philosophy with a strong focus on prevention of dental disease.
Dr. Paul strives to make each visit a positive experience for his patients and their parents. His kindness and down-to-earth approach with children help to make them comfortable and enables them to have a fun and rewarding experience in the dentist’s office. Dr. Paul believes that taking the time to educate parents and starting a dialogue to elicit and answer all questions is essential to prevention of dental disease in their children. He also speaks fluent medical and conversational Spanish, making these encounters just as positive and beneficial with patients and parents who are Spanish speaking.
Providing dental care to those most in need has always been a passion for Dr. Paul. While in dental school, he was a founding member of a free clinic run by medical and dental students from Columbia University and provided screenings to the homeless and at-need in Northern Manhattan. He also traveled to Jamaica and the Dominican Republic, where he participated in mercy missions providing dental treatment to the needy there.
Dr. Paul is a New York City native and loves to spend all his free time with his lovely wife, Dana, and their two daughters, Chloe and Kyle. He is an avid traveler, and loves reading, skiing, and SCUBA diving. Dr. Paul is also an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and is an American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry board candidate.
Dr. Paul Zeylikman "Dr. Z"
After graduating from SUNY Stony Brook in 2009 with a BA in Health Sciences, Dr. Paul Zeylikman attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where he received his DMD degree in 2014. After Tufts, he completed a one-year general practice residency at Jamaica Medical Center in Queens. Dr. Paul went on to complete a two-year pediatric residency at NYU Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn where he served as chief resident from 2016 to 2017.
A self-proclaimed “big kid”, Dr. Paul enjoys establishing a solid rapport with each child before his or her visit begins. He strongly believes in continuing education for both child and parent on preventative dentistry and oral hygiene in order to achieve the best possible result together. Having a child feel at ease in his chair is one of Dr. Paul’s strongest skills, as he understands the importance of making each patient comfortable with both the doctor as well as the treatment plan.
Dr. Paul is an active member of the American Association of Pediatric Dentistry. As a member, he had the opportunity to lobby for children’s medical and dental coverage in Washington D.C, meeting with both members of Congress and Senate to discuss the importance of pediatric dentistry as non-optional care. Born in Moscow, Dr. Paul is fluent in Russian, as well as English. After immigrating to the United States, Dr. Paul grew up in Brooklyn where he still resides. He enjoys playing basketball, skiing, traveling and watching the Knicks, Rangers, or Giants in action.
Dr. Jason Horn
Dr. Jason Horn earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at New York University in 2005 and then became a dental officer in the United States Navy. He proudly served the dental needs of members of the Navy and Marine Corps for five years, working as ship's dentist aboard two Navy ships and in Navy dental clinics in South Carolina, Florida, Virginia and Maryland. He also worked at the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery in Washington, DC with the heads of Navy Medicine. He went on to complete a three-year specialty training residency in Orthodontics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center.
Dr. Jason strongly supports the American Association of Orthodontists belief that kids should see an orthodontist as soon as age seven. Doing so allows for Dr. Jason to evaluate whether or not early interceptive treatment may be necessary to address and prevent growth and development challenges later on. Full braces treatment when all the permanent teeth erupt can be made much less challenging and complex and often much shorter if treatment is started early in some cases.
Some of Dr. Jason's most memorable experiences in dentistry were his multiple dental outreach trips to Eastern Africa, where he provided much needed dental services to villages that were in great need of oral health care. Through his many relationships with patients from many backgrounds, Dr. Jason has honed his orthodontic skills and is super excited to help you find the smile you're looking for. He especially enjoys being able to help bring smiles to entire families and has said that often when a child's smile is perfected after braces, their siblings and even parents end up wanting treatment too. "There is nothing like being able to bring confident, bright smiles to entire families. Often if parent's aren’t interested in braces, they're excited to try invisalign to straighten their teeth!"
Dr. Jason enjoys spending time with his family, doing just about anything outdoors or involving travel. His favorite activity is surfing in New York and New Jersey and when he can't surf he's often seen skateboarding through Central Park in Manhattan, where he lives. Dr. Jason is an active member of the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists and the American Association of Orthodontists and is an American Association of Orthodontists Board candidate.
